EVENT & BONUS POINTS
Our points system consists of Event Points earned by the rider and points from our Bonus Points option. Every race is considered a double points race, however the rider can only pick one race in the series as his/her double points race. The rider at rider registration must declare the double points race. At every race, a rider participating in this program must fill out a "bonus Points Card". This card must be filled out and marked "yes" or "no" as to the intention of the rider for that particular race event. The rider retains a copy of this "declaration card" and at the end of the season these cards will have indicated one yes and 4 no's as far as bonus points participation.
The track promoter will not disclose the riders' choice, as to which race the rider chose for bonus points. The rider may also keep his/her choice private. The promoter will publish event "ordinary points" after each race event. After the last checkered flag of the last event, the bonus cards marked "yes" will be displayed for all to see and the final point totaled and series finishing order will be determined. Any rider going into the final event and thinking their position is secure might be surprised by the final points total after the bonus points are displayed.
